The Material Fund is designed to support students who are facing financial barriers and are struggling to purchase the supplies they need for their program. Students can receive up to $300 per semester depending on the number of students who qualify for this funding, the number of credits they are enrolled in for the semester, and the overall amount of funding available for the academic year. When applying for this bursary, you must provide the list of materials required and receipts or screenshots of a shopping cart so we can assess the cost of your materials. Please read the guidelines carefully. If you have any questions while filling out your application, please email funding@nscad.ca ! Students with demonstrated financial need are eligible to apply for this bursary once per semester. The number of bursaries distributed is based on available funds in a given year.
Students enrolled in 9 or more credits are considered full-time students. Students enrolled in 6 credits or more who have a documented disability and accommodation with our accommodation specialists may also be considered full-time at 6 credits per semester.
Only students who have paid their tuition and fees in full for this semester are eligible to apply for this funding.
All funds will be sent by electronic funds transfer (EFT).
If approved for a bursary, this information will be used to arrange the electronic transfer of funds.
